
St Kitts and Nevis: Taking a step further to encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris led a health-conscious walk under the auspices of Monthly Health Walk and SKN Moves.
A large number of people joined in to support PM Harris in his distinct initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing of the people, especially during the era of a deadly global pandemic. People of St Kitts and Nevis assembled at the Bellevue bus stop for the event, which started early morning at 5 am.

The idea was first introduced in April 2007 by Dr Timothy Harris. Prime Minister Harris, who also has lead responsibility for Human Resource Development, Health and HIV/AIDS issues in the CARICOM’s quasi-cabinet, takes the message of leading healthy lifestyles to the people seriously and does it by example. Ms Williams has advised that the message has been well received as the number of walk participants continues to grow.
Prime Minister believes that to tackle the NCDs, people must adopt a healthy lifestyle, including daily activity, and a collective approach would make people habitual, making the drive successful.
