5 STEPS TO PREVENT COVID-19

1. WASH YOUR HANDS

Use soap and water and wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. You can also use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Do this often to make sure your hands are clean and the virus is not being spread.

2. AVOID CONTACTS 

Take extra measures to put distance between yourself and others. Avoid close contact with people in general. The virus spreads so fast now that you won’t know who is sick and who isn’t unless someone is tested positive.

3. WEAR FACE MASK  

Whenever you go out, wear a face mask to protect your mouth and nose from inhaling air that may contain the virus. The virus can stay in the air for several hours. 

4. CLEAN SURFACES  

Clean and disinfect the surfaces that you frequently touch at home, such as doorknobs, kitchen counters, tabletops. Use appropriate disinfectants to reduce the risk of the virus surviving on surfaces. Clean your phone regularly.  

5. CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR  

If you have severe chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes, you may be at higher risk for more serious illness from COVID-19. You should consult your health care provider about additional steps to stay protected.
